Description:
The museum of the old crafts shows on three levels more than 50 old crafts.More than 6000 tools, gathered per one man, Andre Carles, are put and staged and show the old craftsmen life between the second part of the 19th century and the first part of the 20th century.
You will see all along your visit that will take you in 16 rooms the works of dressmakers and ironers, clog makers, carpenters, winemakers, watchmakers, black-smiths, ...

Many, tools are clearly shown and segregated per type of work.The old house that welcomes the museum is ideal for such an exhibition that shows also old industrial machines.
Approved by the Rector, the museum offers educational visits to primary schools, high schools and technical ones.

Tourrette-Levens is at less than 15 kilometers in the North of Nice.
From Nice, take the M19 road towards the North.
Cross Saint-Andre-de-la-Roche Then Les Moulins before to reach the pretty little town in the mountains.
The museum is located in the old city in a pedestrian street.
The museum is located nearby the museum of the Prehistory. It is also at a few hundred meters away from the Natural History Museum and its tower of butterflies.
