This 1200 sqm museum will surprise you and transport you into the fantasy world of witchcraft.

You will see the witches, their companions, such as animals, alchemists and goblins.

Your imagination will work at full speed in this museum where the history of witchcraft through the ages and civilizations will be presented:
- In greek mythology,
- In Celtic cultures,
- From the Middle Ages to the 19th century.

The plants are also presented, such as mandrake, deadly nightshade, ...

To make this topic more alive and discussed the museum has set up many sets, animated scenes, sounds, stories, movies, books, prints, testimonials, and of course minutes of trials during the different times of the History.

Planning:

The museum is open daily from March the 30th to November the 3rd. Disclaimer : The management team of the destination has the possibility to change the opening days and hours without prior communication.

Comments:

The writer George Sand is a native of the region (her home and her grave can be visited in Nouan-le-Fuzelier, not far from this place in the Loir-et-Cher).

The museum shows a different theme each year in its last room.

Blancafort is located between the A71 and A77.

From Vierzon, towards the North-East in direction of Loeuf-du-Houx then Neuvy-sur-Barangeon before arriving at Les Sablons then at Blancafort.

From Gien, go towards the SouthWest via the D940 in direction of Argent-sur-Sauldre.
A few kilometers before Argent-sur-Sauldre, turn left towards Blancafort.
