The Combarelles Cave presents more than 600 paintings dating from the Magdalenian period (13,000 BC).

These ones represent a lot of animals, such as:
- Horses
- Reindeers
- Ibex,
- Mammoths,
- Rhinos,
- Bears,
- Felines,
- Bovidae .
The frescoes show also tectiforms (geometric figures).

The tour lasts 1 hour.
The cave is open:
- From September the 16th to May the 14th: from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.,
- From May the 15th to September the 15th: from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m..
It is closed on every Saturday, as well as on the 01/01, 05/01, 11/01, 11/11 and 12/25.

The tour is free for children under 18.

The daily number of visitors is limited to better preserve the paintings.

Access is possible for people with reduced mobility.
It is necessary to anticipate a support for climbing the first 13 steps and then for using a special chair.
