The Museum of lighthouses and tags is located near the famous lighthouse Créac'h, and more specifically in the former engine room of the power plant of the lighthouse.
The museum tells the story of the Lighthouse.

- The optical parts,
- Models,
- The presentation of the bedroom of the keepers of the Armen lighthouse
describe you the great adventure of the men and women who have provided support for the sailors on the edge of the coasts.

The museum explains its collections following three axes:
- History: The shipwrecks, rescues and maritime signaling,
- Technical: evolution of techniques, from the ancient fire towers until the today's halogen lamps,
- Ethnology: the epic construction of lighthouses and the lives of "Keepers of the Fire"

The museum is open according to the schedule here below:
- From January to March and from October to December: during school period: every day except Monday from 13:30 to 17:30; during school holidays: every day from 11:00 to 17:00;
- From April to June and on September: daily from 11:00 to 17:00 (18h during bank holidays and holidays);
- In July and August: every day from 10:30 to 18:00 and nights from 21:00 to 23:00 two nights a week.

The Ouessant island is a real open-air museum doubled per an experimental site for maritime signaling, where the work was almost continuous between 1861 and 1939.

Approximately 800 items are displayed in the museum and the evolution of lighting technology over a period of several centuries.
Finally, the museum has many pieces of underwater archeology mostly found from shipwrecks of the 19th century through the deposits of state services or diving associations.

Various activities are offered throughout the year:
- Guided tour of the museum (duration 1 hour),
- Commented circuit on maritime signals departing from the museum (duration 2 hours),
- Entertainment at night or off season (documentary films, lectures)
