The museum is closed to the public to carry out renovation work.
Its reopening is scheduled for 2012.

During this period, however, not only school groups are admitted, but the museum has launched the Operation 'The Museum at home', that offers the possibility to the schools and recreation centers to receive a visit from a guide with some of the museum's collections.

Disclaimer : The management team of the destination has the possibility to change the opening days and hours without prior communication.

The richness of the Museum of Bordeaux has been greatly helped by the activity of the port city during the 18th and 19th centuries, which has allowed it to bring together an impressive collection of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, crustaceans, butterflies from all the world.

Appointments are held during renovation works to inform the public about the progress of the project.
