The Pont d’Arc Cavern (Chauvet Cave) is one of the most majestic cave containing finely detailed paintings. These were drown 36,000 years ago and remained perfectly preserved.

Vallon Pont d'Arc is located at the North of Avignon and Orange.
From Orange that is at 64 km away, take the RN 7 to the North, towards Pierrelatte / Bourg-Saint-Andeol. Cross Pierrelatte then Bourg-Saint-Andeol. At Bourg-Saint-Andeol, take the D86K and the D4. Stay on the D4 for about 25 km to reach Vallon-Pont-d'Arc.
From Montelimar, take the RN7 to the South and when you are at Pierrelatte, follow the directions given above.
From the site of Aven Orgnac located at 17km away, turn North towards Labastide de Virac then Salavas before reaching Vallon-Pont-d'Arc.
