 This is with the frigate The Hermione that the Marquis de La Fayette in 1780 has crossed the Atlantic Ocean to reach the America, starting from the port that is now silted of the walled city of Brouage. The association Hermione-La Lafayette has started the reconstruction of the frigate Hermione since July 1997. September the 7th, 2014: Th ship L'Hermione has left the build area at 3am (Paris time) this morning. It will go in the ocean a few time to allow the crew to test it. It will croos the Atlantic in spring 2015 to arrive in America like the Marquis de La Fayette did during the American War of Independence. 04-18-2015The frigate finished its tests on the sea, its preparation tasks are done, and it just started its trip 7or 8 weeks long from France to reach the American territories. It contains barrels of alcools that will be sold in America.
