The museum of lightning aims that you discover all the storm phenomena, from the formation of super-clouds, cumulonimbus until the creation of lightning and its impact against the ground.

The museum has many pictures, panels and explanatory text.
You will also see objects that have been hit by lightning, including a car and other surprises.



Le Bourg, 15190 Marcenat

Marcenat is between Condat and Allanche, at the West of the plateau of the Cezallier.
From Murat, take the D3 at the North then, before Segur-les-Villas, take the D16, still to the North. At last, at Saint-Bonnet of Condat, take to the North the D36 direction to Marcenat.

The museum of lightning is open:
- In May and June from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the weekends and public holidays;
- In July and August from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
- In September from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.

Possibilities of visits by appointment.
