Created 35 years ago in an old farm of the Abbey of Fontevraud along an ancient Roman road, the homemade soap will show you an ancestral knowledge virtually disappeared in France today.

The different steps to make the soap are presented with a photo exhibition.

From one hour to one and half an hour allows you to learn much more about the soap, its old methods of manufacture and its history.

The soap factory is open from Monday to Saturday as the following schedule:
- From June to September: open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
- From October to May: from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A collection of old advertisements and labels about the soap is also displayed.

The soap that is manufactured here is 100% vegetal and is made via the Marseillan process of making soap: this process involves the reaction between oils and other mixtures at very high temperatures.
