 Discovered 120 years ago and perfectly organized to the visits, the chasm of Padirac leaves you with unforgettable memories. The tour begins with the descent by elevator and then by a walk 103 meters deep. Aboard little boats, you will discover the Lake of the Rainy Great Pendant, a 60 meters high stalactite. After having landed, you will go to Lake of the Gours and to the room of the Great Dome, 94 meters high! You will also overhang the river bed of 47 meters. Lights adequatly put in place will allow you to admire at leisure the concretions, and you will appreciate this set of underground lakes reflecting these images so beautiful and so exotic .  46500 Padirac Padirac is located near Rocamadour. From of the A20: - From Paris and Brive-la-Gaillarde, take the exit 55 (Souillac) towards Martel then Gramat - From Toulouse, take the exit 56 towards Gramat. The Padirac chasm is located at 15 minutes from Rocamadour, at 45 minutes from Sarlat, at 40 minutes from Brive-la-Gaillarde or at 50 minutes from Cahors.  The tour lasts approximately 1h30. The departure of the last visit is 1h30 before closing the chasm. It is open daily from April the 2nd to November the 2nd at the following hours: - From April the 2nd to July the 3rd: from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., - From the 4th to the 31st of July: from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., - From May the 1st to August the 28th: from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. , - From August the 29th to November the 2nd: from 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Open from 9:30 a.m. to groups. Disclaimer : The management team of the destination has the possibility to change the opening days and hours without prior communication.  The temperature of the gulf is about 13°C throughout the year: plan to have some warm clothes. Access is difficult for people with motor disabilities. The walking way is approximately 2000m long. Pets are not allowed. Parking and picnic area are located nearby, as well as snacks and restaurants. Photos and movies are not allowed during the tour. |
