This museum is original because the place where it is located has a double interest, one being unique.

Birthplace of Flaubert and where his father practiced surgery, the pavilion presents the history of medicine from the Middle Ages to the early twentieth century and displays memories of the family.

One hour to one and half an hour allow you to visit the pavilion.

Open on Tuesday from 10am to 6pm, and on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
Closed on Sunday, Monday and bank holidays.

The ten rooms open to visitors have all a different core topic:
- The birth bedroom of Gustave Flaubert,
- A cabinet of curiosities,
- A room to cure sick people,
- An apothecary,
- A space on birth and infancy.

At last, a garden where medicinal plants are grown completes the visit.

A visit of the library of the old books is possible only by appointment.
