 The floral park of Haute-Bretagne lies on 25 hectares. Created in 1847, it shows an impressive collection of plants spread over 24 gardens and 3 themes: First one: The Arcadia: - The allee of white pearls - The Garden of the Thousand and One Nights, - The Ancient City, - The City of Knossos, - The path of old roses, - The Prehistoric Garden, - The Garden of Dionysus, 2nd theme: Romantic Gardens: - The garden of the rising sun, - The Garden of exotic perfumes, - The blue source, - The lair of carnivorous - The path of modern roses, 3rd theme: The gardens of the twilight: - The altar of the harmony of the evening, - The Garden of starry nights, - The garden of the sunset, - The garden of the old oak. This list is not exhaustive.  Parc Floral de Haute Bretagne, 35133 Le Chatellier Located in the departement of Ile and Vilaine, the village is at 58 km away from Rennes at the North-Est. From Rennes (at 45 minutes away), take the highway A84 to the North, take the exit 30 direction to Fougere, Floral Park (road D155) in less than 2 km, then the road D19 on about 4 km and at last on the D219 on less a kilometre.  Allow one to two hours for a walk, to enjoy the colors of the fullness of the place and to let the children play in the gardens: - The prehistoric garden and its Tyrannosaurus, - The three mazes and the Minotaur, - The lair of carnivorous plants, - The suspension bridge over the valley of the poets. The park is open every day from March the 1st to November the 15th according to the following schedule: - In March: from 14:00 to 17:30, - From April to June: from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00, - In July and August: from 10:30 to 18:30 - In September: from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00, - In October and November: from 14:00 to 17:30. The park is open on Sundays and bank holidays from April the 1st to September the 30th, from 10:30 to 18:30. Disclaimer : The management team of the destination has the possibility to change the opening days and hours without prior communication.  Gardens, lawns, plantations, water bodies and woods are surrounding the castle. The tearoom is close to the castle, the video room is on the way between the nursery and the castle. You will be invaded by colors and scents of the park and you will keep a beautiful remembrance. |
